My parents gave me this curiosity, love, and goodwill towards others and their culture. As a family, we lived in Syria from 2005-2006. This year quite changed my vision and understanding of the world and had a deep impact on my life. Over the years, we have also welcomed many people of diverse backgrounds into our family and shared the daily life.
In 2015, I went to DR Congo for my psychology internship. This experience opened my eyes to the fact that our practice is strongly influenced by culture. I realized you cannot fully understand someone without entering into their cultural sphere, but also that each person, each family, and each life course is unique!
